I’ve been meaning to checkout Mobile Monday Detroit for some time now. The next meeting is Monday, April 18th, from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the Compuware Center in Detroit. This month’s event focuses on mHealth:

Mobile healthcare, also known as mHealth, is one of the fastest growing segments of the mobile technology industry.  What exactly is mHealth? It is healthcare enabled by the use of mobile phones and other wireless devices, and it is a technology that is transforming healthcare from a physician and hospital-centric system to one that endeavors to connect all the entities involved in the healthcare process (including patients) via mobile in order to achieve the collection of community and clinical health data, delivery of healthcare information to practitioners, researchers, and patients, real-time monitoring of patient vital signs, and direct provision of care.
